Visit The Lakes
South West lakes Trust was formed to promote and enhance sustainable recreation, access and nature conservation on and around inland waters in the South West of England for the benefit of the general public.
We invite you to visit our lakes across the West Country, just follow the brown tourism signs. There's fishing, watersports, children's play and for the less energetic lakeside tea-rooms and picnic areas overlooking the water. Miles of footpaths and cycle routes wind through beautiful countryside. All but our smallest sites have car parks and toilets, suitable for disabled people. Enjoy your visit and please return soon.
South West Lakes Trust offers many facilities for recreational activities to suit any age and ability. Whether you want to learn to sail, fish, or simply take a walk along the beautiful lakeside paths, the Trust has something for everyone.
There are some 28 fishing lakes, teeming with fish within our region, many with camping, catering facilities and recreational activates, all are listed on our web site.
The South West Lakes Trust is committed to conserving the environment for the benefit of future generations. The lakes and reservoirs provide havens for wildlife and locations for the local community and visitors to enjoy informal and active recreations in beautiful countryside. The aim of the Trust's conservation policy is to safeguard and improve the environment and protect the countryside within economic limits.
